Google nofollow wordpress plugin

I have created my first wordpress plugin. It is the most symbolic but probably pointless plugin.

Andy Beard and Courtney Tuttle are two people that I hold very dear to my heart (even though I never met them) for their willingness to share their knowledge. They both got penalized for “selling links” manually by Google.. By not finding an algorithmic answer to the question, Google is using more fear tactics to frighten great blog writers from making money from their blogs (including stay at home moms) (and forcing them to choose Google adsense), while allowing the big websites with humongous PPC budgets to get away with a lot worse.

P.S. Google, this blog does not sell links but we live in a country of free market and I am a big libertarian. If you will apply rules, apply it to everyone not just the small people in this world. Then I will call you fair. If not, you as a website are no more trustable than the sites you are penalizing. To protest this injustice, I have reedited an older wordpress wikipedia nofollow plugin to make it a Google nofollow plugin (where all the blog links to Google will have a nofollow tag). As symbolic and ridiculous as it sounds, it should send a message to Google about how people feel about it. Please use and share this if you feel the same way about Google. Here is the Google nofollow plugin download page

Symbolic - okay, but it really is ridiculous, because Google is the only SE that fully supports nofollow, and the use of this plugin will have no actual effect whatsoever on Google’s … rankings?

    Still, an interesting idea.

    Janis,

It was a matter of principle beyond anything else. The plugin is simply a symbolic protest but if enough people raised their voice, it could may be make Google raise an eyebrow (of course that is a huge may be) as Google is all about profit margins. I also assure you nofollow will be (and probably part of their algorithm now) a standard for Yahoo and MSN in the long run.

Mert; interesting position, the No Follow does have some limitations that I usually avoid entirely by placing links offsite internally and I’m beginning to recognize that in MSN and Yahoo the offsite links are not consequential internally.

None the less I’m going to stay on this with you.

    Good post.

  • Why I do what i do

I have found my truly calling at last. After reading the below, you will think really? Yes, I have... You know why? Because I can do every industry with SEO without ever getting bored of it. I have been involved with a lot of things in life, always a workaholic, never really satisfied until I met the search engines. I have done aluminum roofing for factories (teenage years), I have been a new home construction superintendent. I have worked as a bank manager. I have dealt with automation and security technology consulting. I was involved in startups for hotel wireless internet (when wireless was a big deal). I have an MBA in marketing. I have worked with so many industries it is not even funny. Why do I write about real estate SEO because I am a partner of a family Chicago real estate agency. Do not take me wrong, I am not a "Real Estate" SEO. I have worked with so many clients from steroids to universities, to apparel stores, to hospitals to hedge funds and lawyers. I love being an SEO. No one customer is ever the same. By the way, we are also passionate about Chicago Cerebral palsy issues
