They have a long way to go and maybe they are positioning themselves for a buyout down the road. Who knows, I'll check on Cuil.com from time to time to see what's new, till then, I'll avoid. It is still in it's infancy stage and has a long way to go, can it really catch up with the mistakes it has already made? There are plenty of pages that should be indexed by Cuil that are no where to be found on there results page, which I can't stand looking at anyhow.
