I just built him a Turkish webpage in wordpress about his specialty in Turkish about his title as “Adana iç Hastaliklari (Dahiliye) Uzmani”. Of course there is a checklist, I had to go through including registering with webmaster tools to assign the website as being of interest to people in Turkey and replacing English characters with Turkish.

When recognizing the Search Engine Result Page characteristics, one of the most important sections is indented results. The indented result creates another measure of safety for your brand safety.

How do you measure which page is worthy of the indent? For case and study let’s measure the Allstate Insurance keyword in Google since they are my insurance policy holder. If I was to optimize different Allstate webproperties, I would go after certain pages for certain reasons.

You always want an indented result of your home page. So I did a search for Allstate Insurance Company.

Number one result was of course Allstate Insurance – Claims page seems to be the #1 result if you write a command with

site:allstate.com intitle:Allstate Insurance

#2 Result is the Allstate Agencies page. I did not have to look far for the second result for that site. It was already in the second page results for Allstate Insurance keyword. A Mr. Smith was the lucky Allstate Insurance Agent that would probably be chosen to be optimized for that result.

#3 result was the customercare.allstate.com page. Now that is a little harder. It is an application site. So you really need to go deep in that site command and find a nearly possible page. Just for the heck of it I did. So here goes another Allstate Insurance Customer care Page (which is really nothing but a login page)

#4 Sometimes a homepage can be an indented result. In this case, an Allstate Insurance Governance page (a non-home page url is being displayed for ir.allstate.com page for the Allstate Insurance Brand Search. The best scenario is to link to the home page of Allstate Insurance IR site

#5 on our list is Allstate Insurance Home Quote. Now this one is extremely hard. It is a web based application so all the secondary pages are dynamicly created.

#6 Allstate Financial is not the insurance part of the website but the Allstate Insurance – Life Division is part of the Financial section. Since the Financial section is legally seperate from the Insurance section, the home page is not optimized for Allstate Insurance but it is the strongest page that could possibly make a dent.

#7 The Allstate Insurance Workplace is another important website of Allstate company that ranks lower because it cannot contain the word Insurance in it. And sadly the only reasonable indented page to link to is the Allstate Insurance Copyright notice

#8 The Allstate Insurance Quote page is a dynamic tool also but the end result pages are different, so this is the Allstate Insurance Quote entry page is definitely a different page that could be optimized for Allstate Insurance.

#9 While looking at the Allstate Insurance Garage site I saw probably one of the coolest travel mapping applications out there that was well hidden in a flash site called Allstate Insurance Routes where you can build and save your own motorcycle path no matter where you want to drive.

#10 Now the Allstate Insurance Motorclub is another site that can’t have the word insurance on it but it has everything to do with insurance. The funny part is its history page (even Allstate.com does not have a proper history page) is probably the best Allstate Insurance History page out there that is worthy of an indented result.

#11 At last a public safety segment for Allstate Insurance Teen drivers. And as a responsible parent, my duty is to make the parent-teen Allstate Insurance contract the intended result for all parents to see.

Right after the olympics and all those news about the Chinese Internet censorship, I read an interesting news. Poor Kevin Cogill, a music blogger, was arrested by FBI for releasing the unreleased song tracks of – “Chinese Democracy” by Guns’n Roses to the general public through his blog. I truly wonder if it was him that originally released it. Can you really make a case against him when there are so many other examples of leaks in the past that went unpunished. Truly, does FBI have the resources now to go after every other illegal webpresence of that song. What is the point of these arrests when these things go out like a wildfire. For that matter of fact what is the point of copyrights.

I truly believe it is unjust in an age where the internet speed is so much faster than any legal action or financial loss calculation. Visual and audio media is unstoppable on the internet. Everyone will lie, cheat copy. It simply is becoming to costly to stop them. Of course noone wants to live under the alternative Golden Shield of Law, except for the music publishing companies. Truly the solution relies in making this disadvantage an advantage for the music publishers.

Sociable becomes Anti Social at last…. For those who don’t know the plugin, this will be a biq question mark.I have been using the hacked by Andy Beard version of the famous Sociable bookmarking plugin. The hack had nofollow links on it. The hack has been nice but since the original plugin had not been updated in over 8 months it was also creating problems for me. Joost de Valk took over the original plugin maintenance and also nofollowed the original plugin like Andy and fixed a number of issues including the Stumbleupon. So Sociable truly became Antisocial (just the way we like it) and I thank Joost for it.
